Francisco Ramírez Pérez was clearing land on his coffee farm when his machete hit a landmine. When Francisco woke up in the hospital a day later they had amputated his hand. Francisco, his wife and their six children had to relocate while Francisco was recovering from the accident. In the interim his coffee trees died. He would like to return to coffee farming but can’t afford new trees. He is asking for a grant to buy seeds and supplies to replant his farm.
